Introducing our April 2021 Roadies of Color United professional of the month William Chaney Harpe

Audio Engineer / Production Manager
I started mixing audio in my Church. During my teen years Cleveland, Ohio was a mecca for live entertainment of all ge n nres. I was able to secure work with local and national audio companies in the area. Soon I was mixing venues, nightclubs, and festivals all over the city. I continued to mix events as I entered the corporate world, relocating to Phoenix, AZ, and expanding my family
I started touring soon after and was able to secure jobs as an Audio FOH Engineer, Monitor Engineer, and Production Manager. Which not only gave me access to great mentors, great gear but, also enabled me to forge great friendships and business relationships throughout the industry
Employment:
Chris Brown, H.E.R., Mary J. Blige, Maxwell, Janet Jackson, Jill Scott, Kanye West, Common, Ne-Yo, Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Monica, Diddy, Ciara, Missy Elliot, Frankie J, Nick Cannon, Magic, and Austin Mahone
Education:
Electronic Technology Institute. Cleveland, Ohio Beachwood Recording School. Beachwood, Ohio
My Inspiration:
From an early age, I have been inspired by live music. I’ve always been drawn towards audio engineers that not only produced great sounding events but also created new ways to improve the quality of the products they use which in turn pioneered lots of the innovations we use today. I hope to be such a voice for generations to come.
