Introducing our January 2022 Roadies of Color United professional of the month Albert T Grey Jr.

AL GREY JR (AKA CAPTAIN BOOGIE)
Al Grey Jr. Has been in the business for over 40yrs. Starting as a DJ. and sound for local DJ’s such as Jazzy Jeff and (The Fresh Prince) and bands. Al worked at the Philadelphia Academy of Music, providing sound for such groups like The Delfonics, Bobby Womack, Phyllis Hyman, Harold Melvin and Blue Notes, Billy Paul and more.
Al’s company, Outta Sight Productions, was the first Afro-American company to work and provide sound at the Academy of Music, Merriam Theater, Philadelphia. Civic Center and The Mann Music Center.
WDAS radio station and Steven Collins hired Al’s company, Outta Sight Productions, to provide sound for Unity Day on the Philadelphia Parkway for 10yrs. During that time, Al successfully bid and the contract at the Dell Music center in Philadelphia for 11yrs.
Al’s company was the first Afro America company to provide sound at the Dell.
Al has provided sound for Jill Scott, Vivian Green, Tina Marie, The Whispers, Rick James, Eric Roberson, Joe Thomas, Floetry, Peabo Bryson, Hezekiah Walker, Tye Tribbett, The Hawkins Family, and many more.
Al doesn’t have a million-dollar company but has the know-how and the experience to provide an excellent sound experience.
