Production Resource Group, LLC – a worldwide leader in event, entertainment and scenic production – is dedicating its substantial resources to supporting the medical industry while the world grapples with COVID-19.
PRG and two local sub-contracting companies are working to manufacture face shields for 300,000 health workers in New York and the company has been tasked by the Senate Administration for Health, Nursing and Equality in Germany to equip a temporary overflow hospital in Berlin. Construction on the temporary hospital began March 30 and it is expected to become operational in under four weeks after the delivery and installation of lighting, truss, hoists, gas ,water, and IT infrastructure.
“We are responding to the rapidly changing needs of our customers during this emergency, and, with projects like these taking shape around the globe, we are actively at work in the fight against the coronavirus,” Jere Harris, PRG Chairman and CEO said in a statement. “PRG has resources with direct applicability to this important cause, and we take great pride in playing a role.”
PRG was among the companies that formed the Live Events Coalition to lobby the president and congress to create a task force to “rescue the industry in the face of total collapse.” That coalition was formed after more than 300,000 signed a Change.org petition calling for federal aid for the event industry.
