The Roadies of Color United Spotlight On Touring Series is the vision of Lance Jackson and Produced by Ronnie Stephenson. The Idea is to present a unique series of programs, Panels and Seminars as lead ups to our upcoming Roadies Of Color United Virtual Conference to be scheduled in February 2021. Our first event aired onNov. 20, 2020 to a selected audience on the Samba Live platform, This was also posted on FaceBook Live via our Roadies Of Color United FaceBook page. https://www.facebook.com/roadiesofcolorunited
The Session was Hosted by FanGage’s Cherise P.
We decided to start the series by spotlighting some of our female industry professionals. Three of which were recently featured in a PLSN Article “Women of Color Address Diversity in the Workplace” courtesy of PLSN staff writer Mike Wharton. https://plsn.com/articles/tech-talk-current-issue/women-of-color-address-diversity-in-the-workplace/.
Working in the Concert Touring industry can be tough and challenging. It can be even more so as a female working in the industry. So we wanted to get a female interactive prospective of what it is like being in the Concert Touring Industry and share that prospective with our audience.
Featured in the PLSN article were:
“Winning the first-ever Lenny award with ROCU! Lenny meant a lot to me personally, and being recognized for my hard work meant so much. “
“Tony Bullock choosing me as his assistant TM on The Whitney Houston South Africa Tour. Being able to be there for that tour was amazing. My dad was a Pastor and civil rights activist. He was fighting against apartheid since the 60’s. For me to touch the soul of SA before him was humbling. “
” As a Tour Manager with Creative Production Partners, I have traveled the world with some of the greatest legacy groups in pop music, including The Jacksons & TLC. As well as new talent like Cardi B’s first international tours in Australia/New Zealand and a summer European Tour”
